...but it will return in the (hopefully) near future, as this blog will be transformed into the Give-A-Show/View-Master Blog! I may have mentioned that I've started collecting View-Master reels, since they fit the basic format of the Give-A-Show (7 slides per reel, like the 7 images per slide strip). Unfortunately, getting these scanned involves a lot more time, since I need to get my brother to scan them for me... but I'm hoping that I'll be able to resume regular posting of videos again in March or April at the latest! With luck, I'll be able to acquire a good transparency scanner of my own, and can step up production of these videos so that it'll be daily uninterrupted postings once again! And believe me, I've been amassing View-Master reels like a madman the past month and a half!
This video is based on a film strip viewer produced in the early 1970s that apparently only featured King Features characters, and had limited distribution!
With this post, it will be the last of the Kenner products for a while (because I don't have any more Kenner items, whether Give-A-Show, Talking Show, or See-A-Show that I haven't already done videos for). Coming up next, three videos based on Steven's Mini Projector (something I have virtually no information on), two based on Beetle Bailey, and one based on Blondie, and then a three-part Godzilla based on the View-Master reels... after that, we'll see! I've started collecting View-Masters, and as my brother (who has a transparency scanner) can get those scanned for me, I'll create the videos and post them here!
Celebrating Kenner's Give-A-Show Projector and Similar Toys!
I'm a collector of Kenner's Give-A-Show Projector sets, and have decided to create this blog to provide sort of an online archive of this wonderful toy and related items!
The oldest sets posted here are series of single pictures, but I hope to upgrade those posts to video form sometime in the near future!
