Thanks for posting this! It was quite something to re-experience this peculiar version of the Star Wars story. In 1978, I forced my parents and two brothers into our small bathroom as I had decided this was the perfect cinema venue for my Give-a-show feature presentation of Star Wars. I was nine years old and utterly fanatical about the movie -still am to some degree- and the idea that I could have my very own version of it in those pre-VHS days was more than exciting,it was mind-blowing. Amusingly, unlike your excellent soundtrack all I had to add for audio was a tape recording of Geoff Love's disco version of the main theme! Appropriate really given the bizarre nature of the slides themselves. I remember being both disappointed and confused by the pictures and story at the time but nine-year-old beggars can't be choosers. I look back with nostalgia at my fondness for the give-a-show Star Wars experience despite all its faults. I would have been thrilled to know I would one day own my own digital home cinema with a 100" screen and the kind of technology that can do Mr Lucas' masterwork justice. Thanks again! Gary
I'm glad you enjoyed it, Gary! Thanks for the compliments!
